Role Playing Games

Role-Playing Games (RPG) give players a break from the challenges of their own lives while giving them a chance to imagine new identities for themselves and new ways of living life while practicing needed skills.

Toverus & Strixhaven

Our adventures happen in the land of Toverus. Toverus is a place full of magic spells, unknown mysteries, and amazing creatures. The name “Toverus,” is a combination of the word “Tover,” which means “enchanting” and “Verus,” which means “true.” The word can also mean “companionship.” Toverus is an enchanting land where players can find true companionship!

The greatest adventurers in the multiverse come to Toverus to train at the Strixhaven Adventuring Academy. Professors convey fantastic secrets to eager students and life on campus is full of fun. But, danger lurks, even here. Campus hijinks mix with mishaps and sinister plots. It’s up to the player characters to save the day.

Skill Development

The inherent skill-building opportunities provided by Role-Playing Games are numerous, especially when the games are intentionally facilitated by an experienced professional. Through structured engagement, our games help players become more confident, creative, and socially capable.

Investment in personalized characters and engagement with a story in a fictional role-playing game makes the emotional stakes feel just as high as in real life. However, the consequences in a gaming session are much lower than in real life, so there is more room to make mistakes and, more importantly, to learn from them.

Through their character’s experience in the fantasy game world, players learn the value of facing challenges, gaining experience, acquiring tools, and developing themselves so they are better prepared to face the challenges ahead. Players will develop skills such as learning to see the perspective of others, improving their frustration tolerance and developing creative problem-solving skills. All while cultivating the communication and collaboration skills they need to be successful in life.
